Position Description
Roadmap Advisors is looking for a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to assist in all aspects of our boutique investment banking practice. The Analyst will be an active participant in all stages of the investment banking process, including industry research, screening and analysis of companies, financial modeling and analysis, valuing acquisition targets (using discounted cash flow, market approach, and transaction approach analyses), leveraged buyout modeling, preparation of pitch decks, drafting investment memoranda, and conducting due diligence.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for live and potential investment banking transactions
- Contribute directly to the development of proposals, presentations and publications communicated to current and prospective clients
- Develop in-depth client, industry, market, and competitor research
- Develop sophisticated financial models and analyses, including valuations, on a wide range of public and private entities
- Interact directly with clients and transaction counterparties to acquire and analyze needed information
- Develop information memoranda that clearly and concisely communicates a company’s operations, financials, industry, and opportunities
- Manage deal lead pipeline, helping put together and evaluate lists of target companies for various clients
Qualifications
- Outstanding writing and communication skills, with an ability to analyze and identify weaknesses in an argument and make clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Proficient analytical & financial modeling skills, with an understanding of factors that affect companies’ financial performance
- Exemplary work ethic, with ability to learn new analytical skills quickly and initiative to pursue solutions independently, when needed
- Excellent internet research skills
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and energetic
- Less than 5 years of total work experience, with 0-2 years of finance experience
- Minimum GPA 3.2

Position Description
Roadmap Advisors is looking for a highly motivated mid-career deal professionals to help “quarterback” transactions from start to close. The VP or Principal should be capable of leading all stages of the investment banking process, including sourcing new clients, negotiating engagements, developing strategies on behalf of our clients, running due diligence, and leading transactions to closing with limited guidance from firm partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead investment banking transactions
- Guide, teach and inspire a team of analysts, associates and interns
- Act as a public representative of the firm in front of current and prospective clients
- Manage team time, budgets and priorities to maximize firm resources
- Lead team of analysts and associates in developing financial analyses, presentations and memos
- Exude a “client comes first” attitude in all aspects of the job
- Develop relationships with senior executives, advisory board members, other deal professionals and prospective clients to uncover new opportunities for the firm
- Manage deal pipeline, owning responsibility for both new client outreach and current client success
Qualifications
- Outstanding writing and communication skills, with an ability to analyze and identify arguments and real-time decisions in consequential situations
- Expert analytical & financial modeling skills, with experience training junior staff in factors that affect companies’ financial performance
- Exemplary work ethic, with desire to create value and advance one’s career to a senior leadership role
- Experience in all aspects of investment banking transactions, with track record of sourcing, executing and closing a variety of deals
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and energetic
- Less than 15 years of total work experience, with 5-10 years of finance experience
- CFA, MBA or other masters degree is preferred, but not required
- Expected to already hold or pass relevant FINRA qualification exams
Position Description
Roadmap Advisors is looking for a highly motivated Director or Manager of Business Development to assist in all aspects of our boutique investment banking practice. The candidate will lead the firm’s client origination efforts, adding to our network and building up existing relationships with business owners, board members, funds, family offices, attorney, and others that can drive new engagements to Roadmap. The candidate will generate new strategies to develop a layered approach to business development outreaches efforts, utilizing in-person, virtual, event, and social / digital.
Compensation includes appropriate base salary and substantial bonus opportunities.
This position may be remote or at Roadmap’s offices in the DC-metro area.

Responsibilities
- Develop new and existing relationships with business owners, C-level executives, board members, funds, family offices, and other professional service providers – managing Roadmap’s overall relationship with potential clients (buyers, sellers, investors)
- Assist with identifying, qualifying and closing new business across potential client base
- Originate business development and outreach strategies to execute against
- Meet relationship development and new client goals, regularly reporting and measuring progress
- Drive proposal development, focusing on Roadmap’s value-add, expertise, and win themes
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience selling professional services in a complex sales environment to senior decision makers, in or outside of finance
- Proven track record of hunting professional service sales opportunities, relationship building, and with use of social media in this pursuit
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business transactions based on trust, confidence, and results
- Outstanding writing and communication skills, with an ability to analyze and identify weaknesses in an argument and make clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating, and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities and ability to leverage CRM tools to manage the entire sales lifecycle
- Ability to travel as necessary
